Welcome to Stage & Screen Classes in northwich, cheshireClasses are for 5 year olds to adults of all ages and are held on weekday evenings in the Green Room at The Brio, Memorial Court in Northwich. Separate classes for children & adults, and one to ones are available. Have you ever wanted to try your hand at acting? Are you an actor wanting to continue training? Maybe you want to audition for Drama Schools. Perhaps you want you/your child to gain more confidence or improve at public speaking, Or have a child that would love to be on stage or screen. Stage & Screen acting offers all this and more. The classes are kept small in numbers so that each person gets lots of individual attention, and the work can be focused specifically on bringing out people's needs and strengths. We'll focus on stage acting some weeks and acting for camera other weeks, as well as fun drama games, using the imagination, some voice and movement work, and collaborating to write our own scripts as well as work on age appropriate scripts from plays, tv and film. Any filmed work done in class will be forwarded to yourself or a parent/guardian. Stage & Screen Acting will break up for Summer & Christmas. At the end of each term there will be a Showcase which will give the opportunity of performing in front of an audience. We will also show some filmed work at our very own premiere night, giving everyone the chance to invite family and friends, dress up and work the red carpet! One to one classesAs well as group classes, Stage & Screen also offers one to ones, on a regular or one off basis. These classes are designed wholly on your needs/wants. Meet Sophie
Stage & Screen acting classes are taught by Sophie Osborne.
Sophie knew she wanted to be an actor from a very young age, and took various classes over the years, including at Stagecoach. She went on to train in acting for 3 years at Italia Conti Drama School in London. After graduating 15 years ago she has worked in Television for BBC (Dalziel & Pascoe), ITV (Emmerdale), and several TV commercials. She has also worked for numerous theatre companies, which has seen her tour throughout the UK several times, and work in some fantastic theatres, including Bolton Octagon and The Lowry. She had the honour of recently playing Little Voice in a collaborative piece directed by one of her favourite playwrights, Jim Cartwright.
Sophie set up her own theatre company, Mini Me Productions in 2015. Through her company she has toured her self penned one woman show to sell out audiences around England.
With a wealth of experience and knowledge of the business. as well as her teaching experience over the years, Sophie is looking forward to helping people to gain confidence and, if they wish, take their careers further.
